E- Recycling
550 West Adams is committed to improving our environment. As part of this commitment, we actively recycle light bulbs, electronics and batteries.
Light Bulbs & Ballasts:
Lights such as florescent bulbs, high-density discharge lamps and ballasts are automatically recycled by our light bulb recycling vendor, Fluorecycle.
Electronic Waste:
For electronic recycling of: computers, monitors, modems, circuit boards, floppy and tape drives, keyboards, copy machines, phones, printers, scanners, TV's, speakers and VCR's, please contact the building e-waste recycling vendor, Ecotronix, by submitting a request online at www.ecotronixrecycling.com.
Batteries:
The battery collection barrel is located near the Freight elevator on the Ground Floor. Please ask the security guard at the West Desk to open the double doors for access. All batteries must either be packaged in their own separate sealed baggie or have both terminal ends taped as to prevent short circuiting, arching, and/or damage to the battery or its terminal ends. Any type of type is permissible.

• Lithium Ion (Li-Ion
